About Leuven Leuven is a small city very near Brussels, the capital of Belgium and the capital of the European Community. Leuven is situated at the junction of two major European motor ways. Amsterdam, Paris, London and Cologne are only about three hours away by train. Leuven is very near two principal airports. It is located approximately 20 kilometers from Brussels National Airport (Zaventem).
